What We Do
At Greentech South, we help SME’s save money on their energy costs and reduce their carbon footprint through free energy efficiency surveys and connecting with experts and grant schemes through our workshops and by facilitating research collaborations.
Together with the University of Portsmouth and the University of Winchester, Greentech South is working on two European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) projects called EMphasis3 CO2 Reductions (EMphasis3) and Low Carbon Solent (LCS).
Both projects aim to support Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in reducing CO2 emissions and facilitating the move towards a zero carbon economy.

EMphasis3
EMphasis3 CO2 Reductions (EMphasis3) is an ERDF funded SME support project. It combines the expertise and experience of the University of Portsmouth - lead partner, the University of Winchester and the cleantech cluster, Greentech South. Through this project, SMEs can access free energy efficiency surveys.
Low Carbon Solent
Low Carbon Solent is an SME support project. It combines the knowledge and expertise of the University of Portsmouth - lead partner, the University of Winchester and the cleantech cluster, Greentech South. Through this project, SMEs can access postgraduate student projects, and innovation support and networking events.
1000 Solutions Initiative
We are thrilled to be a “Solutions Scouter” for the Solar Impulse Foundation’s 1000 Solutions initiative. With support from the International Cleantech Network (ICN), we are finding efficient solutions to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Procurement Support
As part of our ERDF Grant funding support, your business will need to go through the procurement process and our team will guide you through this stage to make sure you can get the most from our funding. Postgraduate Student Projects
Postgraduate student projects provide a unique opportunity for innovative businesses to engage with University talent to develop a product or service. Businesses that are a member or thinking of signing up to the Low Carbon Solent Project are able to access resources and expertise that would not otherwise be available. Our student project come at no monetary cost, and all that is required is your time and vision.
IP Costs
Greentech South can offer grant support to go towards protecting your clean growth innovation IP, including: Patents, IP Audits, Copyrighting and more! It stands for Intellectual Property. It is something you create with your mind, e.g. invention, artistic work such as a design, a story and more.
