Junior Full Stack Engineer at RouteZero World

RouteZero is hiring!! This would be suitable for a Graduate-level role.

What’s the role?
We’ve got big product plans over 2023 and beyond. By joining RouteZero, you’ll be building products from the ground up and working directly alongside the CTO across the entire product and life cycle (from research and ideation to development, testing, and deployment). In the immediate term, you’ll be:

  • Building emissions prediction tools to answer “What’s the best path to Net-Zero?”

  • Building carbon-cutting tools for organisations to implement and reduce emissions

  • Developing emissions tracking tools to measure performance

Joining us at an early stage means you’ll have lots of opportunities for progression, becoming a core member of the team as we continue to shape and build the product.

Like any startup, we’re constantly learning, so the product roadmap can change as we learn more from customers. We’re looking for someone who enjoys ideating and inventing product improvements based on user feedback. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their requirements and build features to address their needs.

Experience
We're looking for a developer to work across the product frontend and backend. We currently use Flutter as the primary language for our web and mobile apps. We use Firebase + Typescript on the server side to allow rapid prototyping and release. This role is ideal if you:

  • Experience with web/app UI frameworks (e.g. Flutter, React)

  • Experience with cloud computing services, such as GCP or AWS

  • Experience in API design with an understanding of REST APIs

  • Experience with NoSQL/non-relational databases

  • Have a strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns

  • Excited to regularly deploy code to production

  • Eager to learn and implement new technologies (our tech stack will likely change as the company evolves)
