EMphasis3 Case Study: ScrubsUp
ScrubsUp produces reusable cases and solid shower bars to make your life more convenient and greener by helping you move from liquid to solid shower products - eliminating single-use plastic. The brains behind ScrubsUp, David Andrew Littlejohn-Carrillo and Roger Gonzalez Martinez, were encouraged by their friends at Airhead, (see 'EMphasis3 Case Study: Airhead'), to meet with Greentech South.
After an initial meeting, it became clear to the Greentech South team that the EMphasis3 Project grant funding would be a good fit for ScrubsUp. The aim of EMphasis3 is to help SMEs improve their energy efficiency and commercialise clean growth innovation. David and Roger presented their ScrubsUp solution to the EMphasis3 investment panel. The panel were impressed with the innovation and its clean growth potential and over £17,000 was awarded.
This £17,000 fund will now be added to the money raised from ScrubsUp’s successful kickstarter campaign which reached its goal of £7000 in just 12 hours. This will enable ScrubsUp to purchase the tooling to make their product, plus a number of other actions to market the product.
