SAVING MONEY - REDUCING CARBON FOOTPRINT

At Greentech South, we help SME’s (including charities) save money on their energy costs and reduce their carbon footprint through free energy surveys (worth £1500) and connecting with experts and grant schemes. Businesses that we have helped have saved between hundreds and tens of thousands of pounds annually.

Supporting Innovation

We also help business transform their innovative, low-carbon ideas into commercialised products and services - through sharing knowledge and expertise at specialist seminars, workshops and events. We help businesses achieve new insights and opportunities by facilitating research partnerships and projects.

In addition, we are also the South West hub of Clean Growth UK - a pioneering, university-led innovation network of forward-thinking green businesses.

Bow tie construction energy survey

Bow Tie Construction made savings of £14k annually

Bow Tie Construction joined us as part of our European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funded EMphasis3 project. They received an energy efficiency survey and grant which helped them fund their transition from a diesel company fleet over to electric vehicles - saving them an estimated £14k per year and 48 tonnes of CO2.

Helping Green Tech Companies Scale

Business Edge work on disruptive technology that removes the need for oil to be used in air conditioning compressors. Initial tests on a small compressor showed impressive energy savings of up to 40%. Working with us, Business Edge was able to secure a £100,000 Green Growth grant for the business, which they’ve used to scale up their technology and team. This included two placements from the University of Portsmouth, who were able to design, test and validate the results from a prototype. This has led to increased interest from the market and plans are now underway to create a larger compressor.

Come to one of our events and discover the possibilities.

“Working with Greentech South and University of Portsmouth has been a great boost to figuring out solutions to various problems on our technical journey over the years - and has also been a source of great moral and encouragement”
